It is becoming clear that Iran was bluffing. As long as they are able to extort vessels they have no reason to lay mines there and also Iran denied it after the CNN report came out... and it all makes sense... Iran turned Hormuz into a lucrative cash resource and went on routing approved ships through a corridor under IRGC escort and charging two million for passage so closure through mines would destroy the very revenue stream Iran is building. The only scenario where mines make strategic sense for the IRGC is if they already decided nothing passes through a blockade or similar arrangements... or if they figure out where the Lincoln is and decide to plant them there... They will fight with all their might if the regime collapses.
